According to an interview transcript made public, Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted associate of sexual criminal Jeffrey Epstein, informed US officials that there is no “client list” that is widely circulated.
Maxwell stated in a July interview with Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche that she was “not aware of any blackmail” and that neither former President Bill Clinton nor President Donald Trump had engaged in any improper behavior.
In addition, she talked about her and Epstein’s relationship with Prince Andrew, calling claims that he had sex with a minor in her house “mind-blowingly not conceivable.”Maxwell has been charged with lying to federal agents and is requesting a pardon from Trump.
The interview was conducted during a period of ongoing pressure on the Trump administration to reveal more details on Epstein, whom the president claims he was acquainted with until their 2004 breakup.
Maxwell was transferred from her Florida jail to another low-security facility in Texas shortly after the interview with Blanche, who had previously served as Trump’s personal lawyer. The reason for the migration is unknown. “No leniency is being given or discussed” in Maxwell’s case, the White House has insisted.
