Proposed modifications to the contentious 28-point peace plan for ending the conflict with Russia have been endorsed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It seems that after rejecting portions of the plan that supported Russia’s war objectives, Ukraine’s European partners created a revised version.
Now the list of necessary steps to end the war can become doable…” Zelensky stated on Telegram. “Many correct elements have been incorporated into this framework. Later, in the early hours of Tuesday, Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, reported that an apartment complex in the capital was struck by a barrage of Russian missile and drone attacks, disrupting water and electrical supply.
A “massive, combined enemy attack” on the nation’s energy infrastructure facilities was also confirmed by Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy. Energy officials will begin analyzing the implications and restoration work as soon as security clearance permits,” the company stated in a statement.
The plan, written by Russian and American officials in October and sparking controversy in Kyiv and among its European supporters, was the subject of a Sunday meeting between US and Ukrainian officials in Geneva.
