The flamboyant star of “Nip/Tuck” and “Charmed,” Julian McMahon, passed away at the age of 56. Following a secret fight with cancer, the Australian-American actor passed suddenly in Clearwater, Florida, on Wednesday, July 2, according to his family.
Through his publicist, his wife, Kelly McMahon, issued a statement saying, “With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, passed away peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer. Life was important to Julian. He cherished his family. He cherished his pals. “He loved his fans and his work,” the statement read.
The actor’s well-known roles include those in “Home and Away,” “Charmed,” “Nip/Tuck,” “FBI: Most Wanted,” and Doctor Doom in the 2005 and 2007 “Fantastic Four” films. McMahon received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Television thriller Series for his role in the six-season cosmetic surgery thriller “Nip/Tuck,” starring Ryan Murphy.
