After Withdrawing her Nomination for the Position of whistleblower, Ingrassia is Now Employed by The Trump Administration

Paul Ingrassia, who recently withdrew his nomination to lead the Office of Special Counsel (OSC) following controversy over racist text messages, has taken on a new role within the Trump administration. According to a White House official, Ingrassia is now serving as deputy general counsel at the General Services Administration.

Ingrassia’s nomination to head the OSC collapsed in October after Politico published a series of alleged text messages in which he made racist remarks, including saying he had “a Nazi streak. CNN’s KFile had previously reported on Ingrassia’s record of conspiratorial and racially charged statements, along with his reported ties to White nationalist and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes.

Before Ingrassia’s Senate confirmation hearing, Senate Majority Leader John Thune indicated that the nomination would not pass, telling reporters, “He’s not going to pass. Lacking sufficient Senate support, Ingrassia announced his withdrawal but vowed to remain part of the Trump administration, writing that he would “continue to serve President Trump and this administration to Make America Great Again.

Before his nomination, Ingrassia served as the White House liaison at the Department of Homeland Security, following a prior reassignment from a similar role at the Department of Justice. Politico was the first to report his new position at the GSA.
