According to an IPSOS poll, three years after the start of the Ukrainian war, 66% of French citizens believe the EU should continue to support Ukraine financially and militarily, even if the US does not. However, polls in Spain show a good trend. Spanish people want to support Ukraine. According to the Social Studies Gabinet, 68% of citizens approve aid for Kyiv. Meanwhile, around 94% feel that a cohesive European defence policy is critical throughout the war. Spain has traditionally had strong links with the United States, with multiple military sites scattered throughout the nation, and the Spanish government intends to strengthen those ties even further, according to journalist Roberto Macedonio.
