Hamas Says Additional Time is Required to Reach the Other Hostages,But Returns the Remains of Two More

According to the US-brokered ceasefire agreement, Hamas claims to have turned over the bodies of two further Israeli hostages, but it says it will require time and specialized tools to retrieve the remaining victims from the wreckage of Gaza.

In a statement, the armed branch of the group stated it was dedicated to the agreement but had returned all the hostage bodies it could reach. According to US President Donald Trump, if Hamas violates the deal, Israeli forces may return to the battlefield in Gaza.

According to a statement from the Israeli prime minister’s office coffins holding the bodies of hostages that were pending official identification had been sent to Israel via the Red Cross. The relatives of the slain captives will be informed first, and the IDF asks the public to wait for official identification and act with tact the statement read.

According to senior US advisors who gave an update on the 20-point peace plan’s implementation, the US government does not currently think that Hamas has violated the agreement by failing to recover the bodies of the surviving captives. In addition to working with different interlocutors to locate and return the captive remains, the experts contended that Hamas had behaved in good faith by returning the live hostages.
