How a US Airman From a Crashed F-15 Was Saved Inside Iran

The crew member of the US F-15 fighter jet that was shot down over southern Iran on Friday has been recovered by the US. The US military “pulled off one of the most daring Search and Rescue Operations” in its history on Sunday morning, and President Donald Trump verified the rescue on social media. He added that the officer is “now SAFE and SOUND!” despite Trump’s later claim that he was “seriously wounded” in a post.

The jet had two crew members on board, and both of them were ejected. US soldiers had already saved one of them. Iranian officials claimed that their air defense system shot down the warplane. Information about the rescue effort and its course is still being revealed. This is what we currently know. Although the specifics of the US rescue are still unknown, one individual familiar with the operation called it a “huge” combat search-and-rescue effort in southern Iran.

According to CBS, the BBC’s US partner, Trump halted several other operations in Iran to concentrate on the rescue, allocating scores of special operations forces members to the endeavor. Because of the risk to both man and equipment, this kind of raid is rarely performed.”It simply doesn’t happen,” the president wrote on social media.
