US President Donald Trump’s four-day trip to Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar last week was a major step towards deepening US relations with major Middle Eastern nations. The visit coincides with Saudi Arabia’s recent efforts to strengthen its standing as a major regional power and make a stronger international statement.
Jerry Inzerillo, the CEO of Diriyah Company, provided further details on President Trump’s journey, some of the major projects that were announced, and how Saudi Arabia is forging tighter ties with the US and Europe in an interview with Euronews.
The Diriyah Company’s CEO, however, underlined that this visit was very different from Trump’s last one and that the US president was particularly grateful for the kingdom’s massive real estate developments.
“In the past eight years, a lot has changed. It is a different Gulf and a different Saudi Arabia. Inzerillo stated, “I don’t think he really had a chance to focus on the sociological changes and the progress when he came, with everything he was doing. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 government initiative, which aspires to promote economic, cultural, and social diversity, was still in its infancy when Trump made his first official visit.
