Following what authorities quickly characterised as a “targeted terror attack” in Boulder, Colorado, on Sunday, a number of individuals were hurt, and some may have been burned. According to authorities, a guy was arrested right away after the assault at an outdoor shopping centre.
Steve Redfearn, the local police commander, stated that although it was too soon to talk about a motive, witnesses were being questioned.
“It would be reckless of me to make assumptions about motive at this early stage,” he stated. Demonstrators had assembled at a pedestrian plaza to demand the release of hostages being held in Gaza when the incident occurred.
According to Boulder police, the incident claimed the lives of “several victims.” According to Redfearn, the injuries that the authorities discovered were in line with tales of people being burned alive.
According to authorities, many blocks of the usually crowded pedestrian mall area were evacuated. Hate-filled acts of any kind are unacceptable,” Colorado Governor Jared Polis said in a statement, adding that he was “closely monitoring” the situation.
The incident occurred a little more than a week after a guy who was arrested for the murders of two Israeli embassy employees yelled “Free Palestine” while being escorted by police.
