At least one kid was killed and two others were injured when India launched missiles into Pakistani-controlled territory in at least three sites early on Wednesday, according to Pakistani security authorities. India claimed to be targeting terrorists’ infrastructure.

Following a terrorist attack that killed 26 people in Pahalgam, in the Indian-administered parts of the disputed Kashmir region, last month, tensions between the two neighbouring countries have increased.

At least nine locations were targeted “where terrorist attacks against India have been planned,” according to a statement released by India’s defence ministry on Wednesday. We have taken targeted, methodical, and non-escalatory measures. “India has shown considerable restraint in selecting targets and method of execution,” the statement claimed, adding that no Pakistani military sites have been attacked.

The Indian army posted a mysterious message on the social networking site X stating, ” Justice is served” and “Long live India.” The message included a picture with the description “Operation Sindoor. New Delhi maintained that it was not hitting any Pakistani military sites so as not to agitate Islamabad. According to a Pakistani Airlines spokesperson, planes that have not yet taken off have been delayed due to the most recent events.
