Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, said that the remains of three Israeli captives had been found in the Gaza Strip. He attested to the fact that the corpses of Staff Sgt. Shai Levinson, Ofra Kedar, and Yonatan Samrano were recovered during a military operation on Saturday.
Netanyahu said, “I thank our commanders and fighters for a successful operation, for their determination and courage,” in a communique. So far this month, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have retrieved the remains of eight captives from Gaza.
Netanyahu stated, “The campaign to return the abductees is ongoing and occurring concurrently with the campaign against Iran. Until we bring all of our abductees home, living and dead, we will not stop.
Although it did not specify where in the Gaza Strip the corpses were discovered, the IDF stated that the bodies were collected on Saturday. Ms. Keidar was slain at a kibbutz at the age of 71, and her body was transported to Gaza.
On the morning of October 7, Staff Sgt. Levinson “engaged and fought terrorists and fell in combat,” according to the IDF. When he passed away, he was 19. The father of Mr. Samerano declared earlier on Sunday that the Israeli army had found his son’s body.
