Local emergency services reported that a Russian drone strike in eastern Ukraine resulted in the deaths of three infants and their father, as well as the injury of their pregnant mother. According to Oleg Synegubov, the governor of the Kharkiv region, the family had only arrived in the town of Bohodukhiv, which is located approximately 60 kilometres (38 miles) west of Kharkiv, the day before, following their escape from bombardment.
They had recently evacuated from Zolochiv in an effort to evade the continuous shelling and locate a safer residence.” He stated on Telegram that this was their initial night in the new location. Zelensky reported that Russia launched 129 attack drones into Ukraine overnight, targeting the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Poltava regions.
Attacks persisted throughout the day. According to Kharkiv region authorities, a drone collided with a medical vehicle that was transporting five healthcare professionals and civilian passengers, resulting in the death of one woman.
On Wednesday afternoon, Russia also launched two ballistic missiles at Lviv, according to Andriy Sadoviy, the mayor of the western Ukrainian city. He stated that Ukraine was able to “neutralise” them, which he described as a “monumental” endeavour.
