From the Corporate World to Transformative Human Leadership
Dr. Ignacio Bonasa has spent his career bridging two seemingly opposite worlds — corporate leadership and emotional intelligence. A Doctor in Leadership and Organizational Transformation, he combines the rigor of business with the depth of human awareness, proving that success and purpose can coexist.
As the founder of Liderarte and president of movements like Turn the Table (Dale la Vuelta a la Tortilla) and the European Association of Organizations with Soul, Bonasa has become a global voice for conscious transformation.
Through initiatives such as RESETÉATE, BienestART, and the Parliament of Latin American Leaders, he has created a unique ecosystem that uses art and emotional growth as instruments for personal, professional, and social evolution.
From Executive Success to Personal Transformation
“It wasn’t a leap; it was a calling,” Bonasa says when reflecting on his transition from banking to leadership consulting.
After years in high-level banking roles, he found himself questioning the definition of success. “I realized I could lead banks, but I wasn’t leading my own life,” he recalls.
That moment of clarity became the foundation for Liderarte, an organization built around the belief that leadership is an act of coherence — aligning values, behavior, and purpose.
The Foundation: The 4A Model
At the core of Bonasa’s leadership approach lies the 4A Model — Learning, Attitude, Soul, and Action.
“Learning opens the door; attitude drives the path; soul gives meaning; and action creates transformation.”
In his programs, art plays a central role in helping individuals and teams access deeper emotional awareness. “Art heals what logic cannot reach,” Bonasa explains. By connecting creativity and reflection, he transforms leadership into an experience of both intellect and emotion.
RESETÉATE: A Journey to Begin Again
RESETÉATE represents one of Bonasa’s most personal and impactful projects.
“It was my way of saving myself,” he shares.
Born from his own experience of hardship, RESETÉATE teaches individuals how to turn challenges into opportunities for renewal. The program guides participants through self-forgiveness, acceptance, and gratitude, helping them reframe adversity as growth.
“It’s not a product,” he emphasizes. “It’s a rebirth.”
Transforming Adversity Through “Turn the Table”
Bonasa’s project Turn the Table (Dale la Vuelta a la Tortilla) began as a personal response to adversity and evolved into an international social movement.
“It turns adversity into opportunity, pain into purpose, and falls into strength,” he says.
The initiative encourages resilience and personal reinvention, inspiring people and organizations to transform hardship into motivation and strength.
Building Human-Centered Organizations
“I saw too many organizations that were efficient but emotionally sterile,” Bonasa recalls.
With this realization came Organizations with Soul, a movement designed to restore empathy and meaning to workplaces. Bonasa believes that true engagement stems from connection, not control.
“People don’t burn out from working; they burn out from working without meaning,” he states.
This approach redefines corporate success by emphasizing the importance of emotional wellbeing alongside productivity.
BienestART: Integrating Art and Wellbeing
Through BienestART, Bonasa explores the link between creativity and wellness. The program shows that wellbeing is not a target but a result of living in alignment with one’s values.
In BienestART workshops, art becomes a tool for emotional release and rediscovery, helping participants cultivate balance and authenticity in both their personal and professional lives.
The Parliament of Latin American Leaders
For Bonasa, leadership must go beyond hierarchy. “The Parliament is not political; it’s human,” he explains.
The Parliament of Latin American Leaders promotes a new model of power — one based on collaboration, empathy, and purpose.
“Our mission is to redefine the narrative of Latin America through soulful leadership — and inspire others to do the same.”
The Principles of Authentic Leadership
Bonasa’s view of leadership emphasizes emotional intelligence, vulnerability, and consistency.
“To lead is not to control, but to connect,” he says. “Vulnerability is my strength, and coherence is my compass.”
He believes leaders are remembered not for their authority but for their humanity.
“I want to be the kind of leader whose absence is felt — not for the power he held, but for the humanity he shared.”
Lessons and Influences
Bonasa credits much of his wisdom to the people who have shaped his path. His aunt Tere taught him strength through compassion, Ramón Feijoo modeled integrity, Viktor Frankl inspired purpose through adversity, María Zambrano taught him to think with the heart, and Mozart showed him that precision and soul can coexist.
Still, he says, “My greatest teachers are ordinary people — they remind me every day what it means to be human.”
Deeply proud of his Spanish heritage, Bonasa describes Spain as “passion, creativity, and soul.”
“I carry my country within me not as a border, but as a heartbeat,” he reflects.
The Modern Definition of Wellbeing
Bonasa defines wellbeing as an evolved form of intelligence.
“It’s the harmony between what you think, what you feel, and what you do.
It’s not yoga or mindfulness — it’s coherence, compassion, and purpose.”
His approach moves beyond traditional wellness, focusing instead on emotional balance and inner alignment.
Looking Toward the Future
Bonasa envisions a world where success is measured not by profit alone, but by impact.
“I dream of organizations led by empathy and an economy guided by purpose. I hope my projects live beyond me — because that will mean they’ve learned to breathe on their own.”
Through his work, he continues to inspire a generation of leaders who value authenticity over authority.
A Reflection of Gratitude
“Thank you for not giving up when it was easier to quit.
Thank you for turning pain into art and wounds into wisdom.
Thank you for reminding me that the soul never grows old — it simply evolves.”
A New Chapter in Leadership
Dr. Ignacio Bonasa stands as a reminder that leadership is as much about emotion as it is about execution. His journey from corporate boardrooms to global movements demonstrates that organizations — and people — thrive when led with authenticity and compassion.
In an age defined by change, his message remains simple yet powerful: leadership is not about control; it’s about connection.
