Putin Calls Out Iran’s Ali Khamenei’s Passing as a Cynical Murder

The Russian president stated, “Ayatollah Khamenei will be remembered in our nation as an exceptional statesman who personally contributed greatly to the growth of cordial Russian-Iranian relations and their advancement to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership.”

This message was sent to Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and was posted by the Kremlin press office on its official Telegram account.Russian President Vladimir Putin has offered his condolences for the passing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran. Putin described the crime as “a murder committed in cynical violation of all norms of human morality and international law.”

The joint US-Israeli military operation in Iran was harshly denounced by the Russian Foreign Ministry the day before, which described it as “a pre-planned and unprovoked act of armed aggression against a sovereign and independent UN member state in violation of fundamental principles and norms of international law.”

According to Moscow, “Washington and Tel Aviv have once again begun on a dangerous expedition that is rapidly bringing the area ever closer to a humanitarian, economic and, not rule out, a radiological catastrophe.
