Saudi Arabia is Placing a Huge Bet to become a Major Player in the World of Artificial Intelligence

Tareq Amin, CEO of Humain, wants to make Saudi Arabia the third-largest AI market in the world, behind China and the US. Although it’s a daring goal for a novice to the sector, Amin contends that the Kingdom’s competitive advantage is found in its inexpensive and plentiful energy resources, which can meet the seemingly endless demand for processing power.

In Saudi Arabia, we have an advantage,” he told Becky Anderson of CNN. “Take a look at our nation’s incredible energy grid, which doesn’t need a business like Humain to construct the substations or provide the electricity required to supply a data center. I have thereby saved eighteen months.

By 2034, Humain intends to have up to six gigawatts of data center capacity nationwide, working with a roster of important AI partners that includes Cisco, Nvidia, AMD, Amazon Web Services, and Qualcomm.

Additionally, Humain One, an AI-powered operating system, was made available to the public. Unlike Windows or iOS, which rely on users clicking icons to perform actions, Humain One allows users to issue voice or typed commands to the computer.

A large portion of Humain’s IT, HR, finance, legal, and operational divisions have been operated internally using the AI system. According to Amin, his payroll department now has only one worker, with AI agents handling the rest.
