Trump and Netanyahu Promise to Stop Iran’s Missile and Nuclear Programs

Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel, stated on Monday that he and US President Donald Trump would not allow Iran to resume its nuclear and ballistic programs, calling their relationship “a recipe for the continuation of our series of achievements in 2026 as well.”

Netanyahu told legislators in the Knesset, “We will not allow Iran to restore its ballistic missile industry, and indeed we will not allow it renew the nuclear program that we significantly damaged.

In addition, Netanyahu praised the current demonstrations against Iran’s hyperinflation and rising cost of living, describing it as “a decisive moment, in which the Iranian people take their futures into their hands.

The fact that Iran is rebuilding its ballistic missile arsenal after it was damaged during the 12-day battle with Israel in June has alarmed Israeli officials and the public in recent months. Trump claimed that Iran “may be behaving badly” and that it was considering rebuilding its missile stockpiles and finding new nuclear sites to replace those hit by US strikes during the same conflict.

However, Trump stated that he thought Iran was still open to a deal with Washington regarding its missile and nuclear programs. Tehran has consistently denied that it is attempting to create nuclear weapons and insisted that its nuclear program is for peaceful, civilian uses.
