According to two people familiar with the arrangement, the New York Times reported on Wednesday that US President Donald Trump plans to meet with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in person, potentially as early as next week. According to reports, Trump, Putin, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will have a three-way meeting following those discussions.
According to insiders, Trump announced during a Wednesday night phone conversation with Zelenskyy and European leaders. Only those three presidents would attend the sessions; no delegates from Europe would be present.
Following US special envoy Steve Witkoff’s visit to Moscow, Zelenskyy stated in his evening speech on Wednesday that Russia seemed more receptive to a ceasefire. The strain on them is effective. However, the most essential issue is that neither the US nor us are misled in the specifics,” he stated.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump referred to Witkoff’s meetings with Putin in Moscow as “highly productive” and stated that “great progress was made” without providing specifics. This conflict must end, as everyone agrees, and we will strive to do so in the days and weeks ahead. I appreciate you taking the time to consider this. He made a post.
