US President Donald Trump has presented the unstable Middle East situation as a potential “second chance” for Iran’s leadership to avert more devastation “before there is nothing left and save what was once known as the Iranian Empire. Regarding his “60 day ultimatum to make a deal” with Iran, Trump stated on his Truth Social platform that Friday was “day 61.”
Although unidentified US sources have claimed that the Trump administration was informed of Israel’s planned large-scale assault on Iran beforehand, the White House has maintained that Washington had no role in Israel’s military campaign.
Trump called the Israeli strike on Iran “excellent” in an interview with ABC News on Friday morning, and he once again hinted at future attacks. Trump told ABC’s Jon Karl, “We gave them a chance and they didn’t take it.” “They took a severe blow. They were struck almost as severely as you will be attacked. There will be more in the future. Much more.
As he met with his national security team in the Situation Room on Friday, the US president pressured Iran. They were discussing the difficult road ahead after Israel’s devastating strikes, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised to continue for “as many days as it takes” to destroy Iran’s nuclear program.
