Viewers may continue to see the intellectual and physical battle between Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) and Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), who seeks to undermine Gi-hun’s faith in mankind, in the third and final season of Netflix’s popular Korean series Squid Game. As promised, a winner has been declared and the games are now officially over. But at what price?
We won’t give away the outcome of the thrilling final game here. But now we’re going to dive into the finale’s closing scene, a memorable stinger that fans have already called “the best thing (they) ever witnessed.
A six-month break follows the ‘permanent’ termination of the games. When Front Man In-ho travels to America, he leaves his uniform and his first Games wins for Gi-hun’s daughter. Following his departure, In-ho is stuck in traffic when he hears the sound of two ddakji tiles hitting the pavement and then a loud slap. He rolls down the window and looks directly at a man who is clearly an American recruiter looking for fresh athletes for the Games.
