Zohran Mamdani Vows ‘a New Era’ as Throngs Celebrate his Inauguration as Mayor of New York City

Zohran Mamdani, the democratic socialist who campaigned on a vow to address the affordability crisis in one of America’s most expensive cities, was sworn in as New York City’s 112th mayor on Thursday, marking a celebration of the progressive agenda he would bring to City Hall.
