The US And Iran End Important Talks in Oman

President Donald Trump said that the US and Iran had “very good talks” after delegations from both countries took part in indirect negotiations in Oman on Friday. Iran seems very eager to make a deal.” “We need to see what that deal is,” the president remarked on Air Force One.

The conversations on Friday in the Gulf Arab state were the first time the two parties had talked since the US and Israel hit the Islamic Republic last summer. According to a person familiar with the negotiations, both sides have agreed to resume talks after speaking with their governments. The negotiations happened while the US was sending more troops to the Middle East and after Trump said he would attack Iran if it killed demonstrators or didn’t sign a nuclear deal.

Before the discussions, Iran’s foreign minister claimed that his country enters diplomacy with open eyes and a steady memory of the past year. Abbas Araghchi posted on X, “We act in good faith and stand firm on our rights. Still, both sides have continued to use harsh language. On Thursday, Trump said that Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei “should be very worried” as both sides are gearing up for talks.
