Germany is leading major joint military exercises in the Baltic Sea as tensions with Russia remain high over the war in Ukraine. The Bundeswehr confirmed that the “Quadriga” drills involve 40 ships, 20 aircraft, and more than 1,800 military vehicles. Germany’s Chief of Defence, General Carsten Breuer, added: “We are seeing close up today what it means when Germany takes international responsibility and serves as a reliable supply hub for NATO.
