Donald Trump will meet with Karol Nawrocki on his first trip to the US as president of Poland. The head of the President’s Cabinet, Pawel Szefernaker, announced Nawrocki’s meeting with Trump on X on Saturday.
Szefernaker writes, “US President Donald Trump welcomed Polish President Karol Nawrocki to the White House for an official working meeting on 3 September 2025 in an official congratulatory letter given on the day of his swearing-in. As Warsaw seeks to deepen its strategic engagement with Washington, the summit is anticipated to center on bilateral ties, security cooperation, and NATO.
One of the main topics of the Polish presidential campaign, which ended with the second round of voting in June, was relations with the United States, particularly the Polish diaspora, the Trump administration, NATO, and Trump himself. Both contenders launched their campaigns on the assumption that they would be the ones to guarantee the greatest possible transatlantic collaboration, given the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and security concerns along the Belarusian border. US President Donald Trump welcomed Nawrocki to the Oval Office the day before, following his attendance at a National Day of Prayer ceremony.
