In honor of Prince George’s 12th birthday, Kensington Palace has issued a brand-new image of the young prince. The new photo, posted on the palace’s official social media accounts on Tuesday, shows Prince George, the heir apparent to the British throne, appearing content and at ease on his last birthday before entering his teenage years.
George is seen posing by a wooden gate in a scene that appears to be rural. He is wearing a brown fleece gilet and a white checkered shirt, and he has a friendship bracelet on his left wrist. The message on X says, “Happy 12th birthday to Prince George!” and then it shows an emoji of a birthday cake.
To commemorate the event, the Prince and Princess of Wales also posted a little video montage featuring all three of their kids. The kids can be seen giggling while playing outside in the Instagram video. George and Charlotte may be seen carrying their younger sibling at one point.
George’s birthday festivities take place a little more than a week after the prince and his 10-year-old sister, Princess Charlotte, the third-in-line to the throne, attended the Wimbledon men’s finals with their parents.
