This evening, sirens sounded three times to warn of approaching rockets from Lebanon as word of the ceasefire filtered throughout Israel’s northern villages. Loud explosions were caused when Israel’s air defense interceptors launched up to block them in the skies above the northern city of Nahariya. In the hours before the truce went into force, at least three individuals were injured by shrapnel, two of them critically, according to ambulance staff.
There is doubt about Israel’s leader’s motivation for signing the truce on the ground here and throughout the nation.Gal, a Nahariya student, stated, “I feel like the government lied to us.” “They promised that this time it would end differently, but it seems like we’re once again heading toward a ceasefire agreement that solves nothing.
“Maor, a 32-year-old truck driver whose home was struck by a missile last year, stated, “We gave the Lebanese government a chance and they failed to uphold the agreement; they didn’t disarm Hezbollah.”Nobody will do it if we don’t. Regretfully, they ceased. This time, it appeared that there were notable accomplishments.
